Laptop and Software Limited Warranty
Twelve (12) months of coverage on the laptop hardware and pre-installed diagnostic software supplied with your kit.
The laptop is supplied as a dedicated diagnostic platform and has been configured specifically for the operation of the pre-installed diagnostic software.
Prior written approval is required
To maintain system integrity and warranty coverage, no software may be installed, removed, updated, or modified without the prior written approval of Fenris Diagnostics LLC. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Antivirus or internet security software.
- Operating system updates or upgrades.
- Driver updates or driver management utilities.
- Remote access software.
- System optimization, cleaning, or maintenance utilities.
- Third-party diagnostic applications.
- Any other software not supplied or expressly approved by Fenris Diagnostics LLC.
The installation, removal, or modification of software without prior written approval may interfere with the operation of the diagnostic platform and will void the software warranty. Fenris Diagnostics LLC reserves the right to deny warranty service for any hardware or software issue that is caused by, or reasonably determined to be related to, unauthorized software or system modifications.
01 Warranty Period
This Limited Warranty covers the laptop hardware and pre-installed software for a period of twelve (12) months from the original date of purchase.
02 Warranty Coverage
During the warranty period, we will address defects resulting from faulty materials or workmanship under normal use, including:
- Laptop hardware defects.
- Hardware malfunctions occurring during normal operation.
- Pre-installed software that fails to function as intended, provided it has not been altered or modified.
ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE SERVICES
Software support, repairs, reinstalls, updates, or configuration changes requested after the expiration of the twelve (12) month warranty period are not included under this warranty and will be performed at the customer's expense. Any software maintenance or support provided outside the warranty period is subject to Fenris Diagnostics LLC's current service rates and applicable fees.
03 Exclusions
This warranty does not cover damage or faults resulting from:
- Misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, drops, impact, or liquid damage.
- Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or tampering.
- Normal wear and tear, including battery capacity reduction, cosmetic wear, scratches, or dents.
- Installation or use of third-party software that interferes with the operation of the pre-installed diagnostic software, including antivirus or security software that may corrupt or prevent proper operation.
- Software updates, operating system upgrades, driver changes, or modifications that have not been supplied or approved by us.
- Loss of data, customer-installed programs, or user configuration settings.
04 Warranty Service
If a covered defect occurs during the warranty period, we will, at our sole discretion:
- Repair the product;
- Replace the defective component;
- Replace the product with the same model or a comparable equivalent.
Warranty repairs or replacements do not extend the original warranty period.
05 Customer Responsibilities
To obtain warranty service, the customer must:
- Provide valid proof of purchase.
- Return the product in a secure manner if requested.
- Back up any important data before returning the laptop for service.
06 Software Support
Basic technical support for the pre-installed software is included during the warranty period. This support is limited to the software supplied by us and does not include:
- Third-party applications installed by the customer.
- Operating system changes or upgrades.
- Software conflicts caused by user-installed applications, including antivirus, security software, or other utilities.
- User-requested software customization or training.
07 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the repair or replacement of the product as provided under this warranty.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of use arising from the use or inability to use the product.
08 Transferability
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
09 Governing Law
This warranty shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the product was sold.
